Short answers to the things people actually get stuck on. If this does not cover it, send feedback from inside the app — it already knows which page you were on — or write to privacy@cyzica.com.
No. Sign-up is open to anyone. Not ready to hand over an email address yet? Try without an account makes a temporary account with a lab already in it, seeded with example data so there is something to look at. Add a real email whenever you want to keep what you have made — otherwise it expires.
On the Join a lab page, type the lab’s full name or its lab code — a short code any member can find on their own Lab page, meant for sharing with a colleague. Somebody already in the lab (its owner or a manager) decides whether to let you in; searching will not show you labs you do not already know the name or code of.
A lab has exactly one owner, always — they can promote a member to manager, demote a manager back, or hand ownership to a manager outright. A manager has the owner’s day-to-day authority — adding and removing members, changing lab settings — short of the two things that decide who is in charge: granting ownership and deleting the lab. A member can see and use everything the lab shares, and can leave whenever they like.
Connect with them first, from Co-workers — an accepted connection is what sharing checks, not being in the same lab. Once connected, you can save a copy of their work into your own library, send one of yours to them directly, or assign them to a project. All three are the same mechanism underneath: a copy that remembers where it came from, so you can always tell it apart from the original.
Editing a protocol you share with your lab writes a new version rather than changing history — every version stays readable. A calculator has no version history, so only its author or the lab owner can edit it directly; anyone else duplicates it first.
Not edited or deleted — that is deliberate. Entries only ever get added, never changed or removed, which is what makes the log usable as a regulatory record. A mistake is corrected with a new entry that references the old one, and both stay visible. For the same reason, a drug cannot be deleted once it has any log entries.
Yes, any time, without asking anybody: Settings → Take your work with you. Protocols come out as documents and everything else as spreadsheets, both readable without Cyzica. A drug’s own page exports its log separately, with its running balance, in the form a regulator would expect. Cyzica is free while it is being built, so none of this is held hostage to a plan — your work exports whenever you want it.
Your own, for anything you are reading — set it in Profile → Your clock, or leave it following the lab’s. A controlled substance’s expiry and the colony’s dates deliberately do not follow you: they are answered in the lab’s own timezone for everyone, so two people in different cities cannot disagree about whether the same vial may still be drawn from.
